There’s no space more important to the community than a place of worship.
Sacred spaces are full of significant symbolism. It’s a wonderfully specific form of architecture, and one that deserves to be free from the distraction of unnecessary elements. The challenge was integrating the mechanical systems so they could be as hidden from eyes and ears as possible.
With large groups of people often expected to enter, use and exit the building at once, the system also needed to be designed with the capacity to respond to significant sudden shifts in air temperature and people density.
The end result? A system that will allow the new Jamatkhana to be enjoyed for decades to come.
Quiet and comfortable, so you can focus on what’s important.
We take special pride in understanding the unique needs of unique community spaces. There may be no other space where our philosophy that says that mechanical systems should rarely be noticed is more important or true than here. Our mission is to create quiet, comfortable space to educate, contemplate, meditate, and celebrate.
